Wedding Style
We are planning a more intimate celebration with ~100 guests (maybe less) in the smaller ballroom (Rose Garden Room) at the Bellevue Hotel. We want to have a romantic, classic and formal vibe.
Personal Style
I tend to lean more classic and sophisticated with my style, and want to maintain a chic vibe. I’m not looking for anything trendy or too modern. I don’t want to look back in 20+ years and feel like our wedding looks dated or specific to 2024. Some examples of people whose style I love are Audrey Hepburn, Kate Middleton, Grace Kelly.
Hair Ideas
Yes, I am leaning towards a more dramatic version of hair I’ve done as a bridesmaid in friends’ weddings, with a front side sweep, volume around the crown of my head, and a chignon.
Hair Concerns
My main concern is that Ive had a hair trial and did not like how the front looked so I want to confirm how best to approach the front view. From a head-on perspective, I want to ensure there is just enough volume on the sides (and more dramatic volume on the top) and also want to ensure the chignon is large enough to show around the nape of my neck (on both sides) from the front perspective (when looking at me straight-on). Based on a recent trial I had, where the chignon was too small (and my hair was too slicked from the front perspective) I’ll likely need a large sized donut for the chignon.
