EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Pay
Stylists are paid a percentage of our fee for hair and makeup services. Specifics of our pay scale will be discussed at your interview.
Travel
Stylist is responsible for providing their own reliable transportation and for all costs incurred for travel up to 20 miles. Specifics of additional travel expenses will be discussed at your interview.
Availability
Team stylists must be available for all weddings and trials. Wedding availability is Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Team artists must be available at least one of these days.

Upon being hired, all artists will inform the owner of available and unavailable dates. If a date becomes available or unavailable, our team artist must inform the owner immediately.

On-call stylists will be booked on an as-needed basis.

We will go into the specifics of "Team" vs "On-call" stylists at your interview.
Interview Process
Once you fill out our online application along with supporting documents and photos, we will assess whether we would like to move forward.

If we decide to move forward, a short pre-interview phone call will be scheduled. If we feel as though you are a good fit for our team, we will set up a 45-minute Zoom interview including a kit review. ​

If hired, subcontractor agreement, W-9 sent for signature
Supplies & Equipment
Each artist must stock and maintain their own professional kit. No “kit fee” is paid by the owner. Drugstore hair products are not permitted. Drugstore makeup and skincare products are permitted on a minimum basis upon approval. No drugstore foundations or powders are permitted. All artists must have and bring their own ring light to each client's trial and wedding.
Licensing & Insurance
All hair stylists must have a cosmetology license. For makeup artists, a cosmetology license or esthetics license is preferred. Individual artist's liability insurance is recommended.
