What do you believe are your greatest STRENGTHS as an artist?
My greatest strengths as a wedding hair stylist are assessing the room of girls and knowing who will need more time and attention to stick to the schedule, continuing to experiment with products to find my favorites, helping the client decide on the style they want, making sure they are happy, and letting them enjoy the special time together by not overtaking conversation. I am there to style hair and make sure every client looks and feels their best!
What do you believe are your greatest CHALLENGES as an artist?
My current challenge is social media. I started styling hair during a time when that was not what it is today, so I am all ears for learning how to fit that into the schedule. My goal this year and the years to come is build out my portfolio with beautiful, well crafted work. I also want to focus on continued education! I am not opposed to learning how to do makeup; if needed! I love to learn and overcome challenges.
Is there anything else you would like us to know?
I have been working full time as an operations analyst for a financial services company, and doing hair for weddings on the side for the past 5 years- while I had 3 beautiful children. I am looking to get back to my roots, and switch to a part time career as a hair stylist. I want to be able to raise my children and work, and I miss using this skill that I love so much. I would love the opportunity to meet and discuss these options, so that I can start booking classes for styling and social media! I am very excited to have this opportunity!
