Skincare Tips
How to Prep for Your Trial and Wedding

Here are some helpful tips to get your skin "wedding ready":
Daily Maintenance

Morning
-
If you washed your face the night before and do not have oily skin, simply splash and rinse face with tepid water.
-
Use a de-puffing eye product and/or moisturizing under eye cream.
-
Apply a Vitamin C serum.
-
Apply a daily SPF day cream.

Evening
-
Wash off all makeup off every night using a cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type:
-
Oily - Gel formulas are great.
-
Dry - Try a remover balm, cold cream or cream-based.
-
Combination - You can really use the same cleansers that are good for dry skin types.
-
-
Follow with a toner (optional but great for oily skin).
-
Under eye moisturizing cream.
-
Apply serum:
-
Consider serums with ingredients like retinol, AHAs/BHAs, and peptides, as they can be more effective when applied at night due to reduced sun exposure. Retinol helps with cell turnover and reducing signs of aging, while AHAs and BHAs exfoliate and can help with dullness and acne. Peptides promote collagen production, which is most active while you sleep.
-
-
Follow serum with a night cream for overnight moisture.

Weekly Maintenance
-
Exfoliate a minimum of 3-4 times a week.
-
Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, promoting a smoother, brighter complexion and better product absorption. When exfoliating, be gentle, use circular motions, and rinse with lukewarm water. Always moisturize after exfoliating to hydrate and protect the skin.
-
-
Choose the right method:
-
Physical exfoliation: This involves using scrubs with granules (sugar, salt, etc.) or tools like brushes, sponges, or washcloths.
-
Chemical exfoliation: This uses acids (like AHAs, BHAs) or enzymes to dissolve dead skin cells.
-
