Required at All Times

• Professional skincare and prep products — appropriate options for dry, oily, combination, mature, and sensitive skin, including moisturizers, primers, and hydrating products.

• Foundation range — a comprehensive professional range of shades and undertones that allows you to properly match all skin tones and complexions. Mixing pigments or adjusters should be available when needed.

​

• Concealers and correctors — multiple shades and undertones, including color correctors for redness, discoloration, dark circles, and hyperpigmentation.

​

• Setting powders — translucent and tinted options appropriate for different skin tones, skin types, and desired finishes.

​

• Contour and bronzing products — cream and powder options in a range of tones appropriate for fair through deep complexions.

​

• Blush — a varied selection of cream and powder formulas in pink, peach, rose, mauve, berry, and deeper tones to complement different complexions and bridal looks.

​

• Highlighters — subtle through luminous options in shades appropriate for a variety of skin tones. Bridal highlight should enhance the skin without appearing overly glittery or harsh in photography.

​

• Eyeshadow palettes — a professional selection of mattes, shimmers, neutrals, warm and cool tones, deeper shades, and bridal-appropriate colors capable of creating everything from natural makeup to full glam.

• Eyeliners — black, brown, nude, and other useful shades in pencil, gel, and/or liquid formulas for creating both soft and defined bridal looks.

• Mascara — waterproof and long-wearing formulas appropriate for wedding-day wear.

• False lashes — a generous selection of styles and lengths, from natural and wispy to fuller glam options. Artists should never arrive with only one lash style.

• Individual/cluster lashes — various lengths and densities for customized lash applications.

​

• Lash adhesive — professional, long-wearing adhesive, including clear and dark options when appropriate. Always carry backup adhesive and latex-free options for allergies.

​

• Brow products — pencils, powders, pomades, gels, and/or other products in a sufficient shade range for creating natural through defined brows.

​

• Lip products — an extensive range of bridal-appropriate lipsticks, liners, glosses, and long-wearing formulas, including nude, pink, rose, mauve, berry, red, and deeper shades.

​

• Lip preparation products — balm, moisturizer, or other appropriate products for creating a smooth base before lip application.

​

• Setting sprays — professional long-wear products appropriate for different skin types and wedding-day conditions. BOTH MATTE AND DEWEY.

​

• Waterproof and long-wear products — essential for creating makeup that can withstand tears, humidity, heat, photography, dancing, and a full wedding day.

​

• Body and décolletage products — when appropriate, products for evening skin tone, adding subtle luminosity, or perfecting exposed areas of the neck, shoulders, chest, and back.

​

• Professional brush collection — a complete, clean selection of face, complexion, eye, brow, and lip brushes. Enough clean brushes must be available to service the number of clients assigned to you.

​

• Beauty sponges and applicators — clean or disposable applicators appropriate for professional use and sufficient quantities for your scheduled clients.

​

• Disposable supplies — mascara wands, lip applicators, cotton swabs, cotton rounds, tissues, wedges, and other single-use items necessary for sanitary application.

​

• Professional mixing palette and spatula — for dispensing and mixing products without contaminating the original product.

​

• Pencil sharpener — professional and sanitized between uses.

​

• Tweezers and small grooming tools — for lash application, brow refinement, and finishing details.

​

• Sanitation supplies — professional brush cleaner, cosmetic sanitizer, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, alcohol, and other supplies necessary to maintain a clean and sanitary workstation throughout the appointment.

​

• Protective draping — clean capes, towels, or other professional protection to keep makeup and products off the client's clothing.

​

• Professional lighting — a portable light or lighting system when necessary. Do not assume the getting-ready location will provide adequate lighting for professional makeup application.

​

• Extension cord and/or power strip — particularly useful for hotel rooms, bridal suites, and other getting-ready spaces where outlets may be limited.

​

• Hand mirror — clean and professional for reviewing the completed look with the client.

​

• Touch-up essentials — products and supplies necessary to make final refinements before photography, dressing, and departure. SMALL CONTAINER AND DISPOSABLE LIP APPLICATOR IF CLIENT WANTS LIPSTICK SAMPLE.

​

• Backup supplies — extra lashes, adhesive, mascara, setting spray, disposables, frequently used complexion products, and other high-use essentials. Running out of a necessary product during a wedding is not acceptable.

 

Note:  If you have a stool, it's recommended to bring or, at minimum, put it in your car just in case the ready space doesn't have them.
