THE 6 BIGGEST CONCERNS

01

How do I know what hair and makeup style to choose?

There are several factors that you want to take into consideration when choosing the perfect hair and makeup for your wedding day.

These Include:
Your Personal Style
Your Personal Preferences
Your Comfort Level
Your Wedding Dress Style
Your Overall Wedding Style or Theme
Your Wedding Location & Time
Your Face Shape
Your Hair Color, Length, and Texture

We are (of course) here to help. Before we even get started, we always do a complete style consultation with all of our brides to help determine the perfect style that will compliment your face shape, accent your wedding style and dress and look beautiful both in person and in photos.

02

Will my hair and makeup last all day?

This is one of the biggest concerns that we hear and we have you covered. Because all we do is brides, we have had years of trial and error to find the perfect products and develop the perfect techniques to guarantee long-lasting results without being heavy or cakey!

When it comes to long-lasting wedding hair, we will take into consideration your hair length, texture, and thickness to first, determine the best styles to ensure long-lasting results. Once we narrow down the perfect style, our techniques, and products are all designed to keep your hairstyle in place all day without having to rely on an overabundant use of hairspray. This ensures that your style will last all day without looking dry and crunchy.

03

I want to look good in photos and in person!

We understand that this is a concern, especially if you do not normally wear a lot of makeup.

It is true that makeup that is a little more defined is going to look better in photos but we also understand that it is just as important that you look and feel beautiful and confident in person as well.

The key to achieving the perfect balance between looking good in person and in photos is first to assess each individual client’s personal style to determine exactly where their comfort level is. Using this information along with the right products and techniques will ensure that we strike the perfect balance between you looking and feeling beautiful in person and having your photos look flawless!

04

Should I wear false lashes?

False lashes can have a dramatic effect on the overall look of your wedding day makeup and we do recommend that our brides consider wearing false lashes on their wedding day.

That being said, we understand that everyone is different and false lashes may not be right for you based on your personal preferences and comfort level.

At your makeup trial, we will consult with you to determine if false lashes are the best choice for you and if so, what are the appropriate style, length, and thickness for your eye shape and desired look. If you are not comfortable with or have never worn false lashes, the trial is also the perfect time to try them out to see what you think.

05

Should I do airbrush makeup?

Choosing to use airbrush makeup for your wedding is a personal decision that ultimately depends on your preferences and the look you want to achieve. However, there are some factors you may want to consider before deciding.

Airbrush makeup is known for its long-lasting and flawless finish, which can be perfect for a wedding day that involves lots of photos and activities. It is also water-resistant and transfer-resistant, meaning it won't smudge or rub off easily.

Another benefit of airbrush makeup is that it can be applied in thin layers, allowing you to build up coverage gradually. This can be especially useful if you want to cover blemishes or uneven skin tone. However, airbrush makeup can be more expensive than traditional makeup, and it requires special equipment and skills to apply. It may also look and feel slightly heavier than traditional makeup.

If you are unsure as to whether airbrush makeup is right for you, the best thing to do is to talk to your stylist and if they feel as though it is a good fit, have them try it out at your trial run appointment.

Will my artist run late?

You have planned your perfect day down to the last detail. Now it's in the hands of your vendors to make sure everything runs smoothly, which can be a scary feeling. There are certain things you can do to ensure that everything runs smoothly and your artists are going to show up and stay on schedule.

Confirm the details: Make sure you have communicated all the details of your wedding to your artist, such as the time and location of the wedding, the start time for makeup application, and the number of people who will be getting their makeup done. Double-check that they have all the correct information.

Have a contract: It is essential to have a written agreement with your makeup artist that outlines the terms of their service, including the time they are expected to arrive. This contract should be signed by both parties and should also include a cancellation policy.

Schedule a trial run: Scheduling a trial run before the wedding will allow you to discuss your hair and makeup preferences and ensure that your artist understands your vision. It is also an opportunity to confirm the artist's punctuality.

Follow-up communication: About a week before the wedding, follow up with your artist to confirm the details one more time. This can be done through email or phone call. Confirm the time they will be arriving on the wedding day and remind them of any special instructions or details.

At Beautiful Brides Hair and Makeup, puncuality, professionalism and trust are of the utmost importance to us. You can rest assured that we will make sure all of the things listed above (and more) are taken care of so that you can have confidence in knowing your wedding day will run smoothly and you will be on-time to walk down the aisle.
