What to Expect
Below Guidelines for Hair and Makeup Auditions
In-Person & Zoom will be covered.
Kindly read in its entirety.
IN-PERSON
Audition Location

PARK AT MAIN BUILDING.

No need to stop at call box.

Call/text Dana at 267-679-4119 upon arrival.

Kindly arrive at least 15 minutes prior to audition time.

If you are bringing a model or they are meeting you, provide them with these instructions and make sure they are on time. We will not wait for model.

​Schedule your day accordingly as audition may run more than two hours.

First 15-20 minutes you may be asked to chat more about your resume, experience, IG, etc.

Hair Audition Guidelines
​

Bring entire pro kit.
-
No need to bring light.
-
Be prepared with all tools and products necessary.
-
Provide proper "consultation" with your client.
-
You'll be shown a hair "inspiration" style or will be sent one ahead of time. Be prepared.

Be prepared for any style including high-glam "Hollywood" waves.

Makeup Audition Guidelines

​Have professional light.
-
If you need a stool to work, kindly bring it.
-
Bring entire pro kit with airbrush and all appropriate products.
-
You'll be shown an "inspiration" photo or will be sent one ahead of time. Be prepared.

Provide proper "consultation" with your client.
-
You may be asked to do traditional or airbrush makeup.

Dual Artist Auditions (Hair and Makeup)

Be prepared for one hair and one makeup look.

​Provide proper "consultation" with your client.
-
This will take approximately three hours or more.

ZOOM
-
This will be Zoom audition. It is best if you used a laptop with camera; however phones are allowed.

Be on time - early is always better!

If you are able to film yourself properly and put video on YouTube or send in a way it can be viewed in its entirety, it may suffice to simply record the audition and send link. THIS WILL BE ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS. IN-PERSON AUDITIONS ARE PREFERRED.

Choose your location wisely - no pets, children and/or noise.

Make sure your model and you are positioned so both can be seen in full.

It's helpful to show yourself displaying proper sanitary practices. For example:

No double dipping cream products.​

Using mascara wands.
-
Employing a spatula and palette.
-

Display also how you would "consult" with your client in the beginning of makeup application.

Be prepared to show your pro kit.

Hair auditions could take one hour or more. Same for makeup auditions
-
Dual artist will do one hair and one makeup look. This could take up to three hours.
